Lead scoring against your ideal customer profile
Lead scoring ranks companies and people by how closely they match the customers you want to win. In LeadsMind you describe your ideal customer once, or let LeadsMind draft it from your website, and every company and lead gets a score from 0 to 100.
What is ICP scoring?
ICP scoring is lead scoring against an ideal customer profile (ICP): a description of the companies and people most likely to buy from you, by industry, location, job title and seniority.
Behavioural lead scoring adds points when someone opens an email or visits a page. ICP scoring answers the question that comes first in outbound sales: does this company, and this person, fit what you sell, before anyone has been contacted?
LeadsMind (leadsmind.ai) scores every company and every decision-maker in its database against your profile, so you can sort any search or list by fit and start at the top.
The 0–100 scale
Every score falls into a tier, so a rep knows what to do with it at a glance.
| Tier | Score | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Hot | 85 and above | Call today |
| Warm | 70 to 84 | Send a WhatsApp message this week |
| Cold | From your threshold to 69 | Keep in a list and nurture |
| Low | Below your threshold | Hidden from searches unless you choose to show it |
You set the threshold on each ideal customer profile, anywhere from 0 to 100.
AI fit, then rule checks
Every LeadsMind score has two parts. An AI model reads your profile as you wrote it and what a company says about itself on its listing and website, and judges how well the company fits.
Rule checks then gate the result: a company in an excluded industry, or without a technology you require, is ruled out whatever the fit. A decision-maker's score starts from their company's and is adjusted for how well their title and seniority match your profile.
- AI fit, read from the listing and the website
- Exclusions and required technologies as hard rules
- A persona match for every decision-maker
- A breakdown behind every score

Live lists that keep themselves up to date
A live list is a saved search with a minimum score. Save one and LeadsMind keeps it current instead of leaving you with a snapshot.
A company list refreshes whenever you open it: new companies that match join it, and ones that no longer match drop out. A people list refreshes when you ask, because every new person it adds is revealed and uses a credit.
Change your ideal customer profile and the scores are recalculated in the background, so your lists follow the new definition.

Lead scoring questions
What is lead scoring?
Lead scoring ranks leads by how likely they are to become customers, usually with a number. In outbound B2B sales the first score that matters is fit: how closely a company and a person match your ideal customer profile, judged before anyone has been contacted.
What is an ideal customer profile (ICP)?
An ideal customer profile describes the companies and people most likely to buy from you: their industries and sub-industries, where they are, and the titles and seniority of the people who decide. In LeadsMind you write it once, or let LeadsMind draft it from your website, and every score is measured against it.
What do hot, warm and cold mean in LeadsMind?
Every company and lead is scored from 0 to 100 against your profile. 85 and above is hot, 70 to 84 is warm, and from your own threshold up to 69 is cold. Anything below the threshold is marked low and hidden from searches unless you choose to show it.
How does LeadsMind calculate the score?
An AI model judges how well each company fits your profile as written, using what the company says about itself on its listing and website. Rule checks, such as excluded industries and required technologies, then rule companies in or out, and each decision-maker's score is adjusted for how well their title and seniority match.
Can I score against more than one ICP?
Yes, depending on your plan. Each ideal customer profile is scored on its own, so you can describe different segments and compare them; the plan cards show how many profiles each plan includes.
Does scoring use lead credits?
No. Scores are part of search, and search is free: you see every company's score before you reveal anything. A credit is used only when you start working a lead, the first time you reveal, save, push or log against it.
